Beliefs

One True God

We believe in one true God: "Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One. And you shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, soul, and strength" (Deuteronomy 6:4-9).

Jesus the Messiah

We believe in the deity of Jesus as the only begotten Son of God. We believe He fulfills all of Scripture's prophecies regarding the Messiah. He came to fulfill and not destroy the law or teaching of God. We believe in His death for the redemption of all people, His resurrection, and His return to judge the world. It is important that all followers of Jesus live as though He may come at any time, looking for the Blessed Hope.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the existence of the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Tri-Unity of God. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as manifested by the experience of the early believers in the New Testament, and we believe in the resultant fruit and gifts of the Spirit.

Salvation

We believe all men are born with a sinful nature and that the work of Jesus Christ on the cross was to redeem man from the power of sin. We believe that salvation is available to all who will receive it.

Baptism (Mikveh)

We believe in the ordinance of water baptism by immersion in obedience to the Word of God. All of those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior should be baptized in water as a public profession of their faith in Christ.

Evangelism

We believe that evangelism is the obligation of every follower of Christ. The Lord commands us to go out into all the world and make disciples. We believe that each person is first responsible to evangelism in their own family as the Holy Spirit leads them and gives them the ability. The Lord's command is to evangelize the Jewish population and every culture to which we have the opportunity to witness.

The Bible Is Inspired

We believe that all Scripture -- the Old Testament (Tanach) and New Testament -- is the inspired Word of God and the complete revelation of God's will for mankind. We believe in the absolute authority of Scripture to govern the affairs of men.

The Church

We believe in the Church as the eternal and universal Body of Christ consisting of all those who have accepted the work of the atonement of Jesus on the cross. We believe in the need for a local assembly of believers for the purpose of evangelism, edification, and continuing the ministry of Jesus Christ in today's world.

Body Ministry

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit to and through the Church body that includes the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, healing, and anointing of oil by the elders of the church.

Communion

We believe in the ordinance of Communion in obedience to the Word of God. We understand its foundation in Passover. Jesus said we should do this in remembrance of Him until He returns. Every believer has the privilege to participate together with His church.

Prayer and Praise

We believe in the worship of the Lord through singing, clapping, and the lifting of hands. We believe in the authority of the believer to ask freely of the Lord for his/her needs.

Healing

We believe that it is the privilege of every believer to ask for the healing of the spirit, soul, and body. Jesus Christ went about healing all manner of sicknesses and doing good in His ministry here on earth. He suffered for our sicknesses and pain up to and on the cross. He is at the right hand of God today, interceding for us. It is a vital part of the ministry of the church to pray and anoint with oil for healing.

The Priesthood of the Believer

We believe that every believer has a unique relationship to the Lord. As His children, all believers have immediate access to the throne of Grace and the ability to manifest the power of the Lord Jesus Christ in ministry.

Stewardship

We believe that every person is the steward of his or her life and resources which ultimately belong to God. We believe that tithing is a measure of obedience to the Scriptural principles of stewardship. There are three tithes in Scripture: (1) the tithe to God's house -- mandatory (2) the tithe of offerings -- by choice (3) the tithe of alms -- by choice to those one comes in contact with.

Our Commitment to Israel

We believe in the promise of Genesis 12:3 regarding the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. We believe that this is an eternal covenant between God and the seed of Abraham to which God is faithful. We believe it is our responsibility to pray for the Jewish people and the peace of Jerusalem. We give monthly to help Holocaust survivors in Israel.

Marriage

We believe Christian marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God for the happiness of humankind and the propagation of the race. We believe God's marriage ideal is a spiritual and physical union in which one man and one woman enter into a covenant with God until death separates them. We affirm the Scriptural and historical definition of marriage as heterosexual monogamy, which has been inviolable over the centuries and recognized worldwide. We do not believe marriage is an arbitrary relationship created by the state or a natural outcome of social systems, but rather reflects realities as fundamental as human nature and human anatomy. According to Genesis, we believe as part of God's created order, marriage is not open to reinterpretation (Genesis 2:20-25).

Regarding sexuality, we believe heterosexuality is God's revealed will for humankind and that a chaste and faithful expression of this orientation (whether in singleness or marriage) is the ideal to which God calls all people. We believe legitimate sexual relations are solely within marriage. Therefore, sexual activities such as, but not limited to adultery, fornication, incest, sodomy (homosexuality), and pedophilia are inconsistent with the teaching of the Bible. We also believe that lascivious behavior, transgender behavior, and the creation and/or distribution and/or viewing of pornography are incompatible with the biblical witness to purity and holiness. We believe that from the biblical perspective, we are all to control our sexual desires and bring them into submission through the power and grace of Christ to embrace a moral sexual lifestyle. We believe everyone is created in the image of God and has great value to the Creator. Therefore, we extend the same grace Christ gave to us and share with everyone the good news that Christ has conquered sin and death.
